The Women's Land Army

I found this really interesting article about how women who were part of Women’s Land Army in the UK during WWII are being honored by the government on the BBC news site. These were women who made sure the farms and lumber mills were still working during the war and it seems that they were also responsible for the distribution. This would have been invaluable work during the time when food was rationed and the country was under attack. I don’t really have a comment. I just think it’s interesting and I am glad they are being honored.
